Education:
Statler earned his Juris Doctorate at San Joaquin College of Law (’04) in Fresno, where he was a member of the 2004 Law Review.  He earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts from Fresno State in 1989.  Statler graduated from the Marine Corps Engineer School in 1987.

Professional Associations and Memberships:
Before entering the legal profession, Statler worked as a news reporter with KMJ Radio in Fresno, where he primarily covered politics, agriculture, water, and infrastructure issues for the station’s news programs and the KMJ Ag Show With Roy Isom.  He was a regular contributor to the Associated Press, CBS Network News, and to numerous sister stations around California.  He also worked as a news reporter in Skagway, Alaska.  Before radio, Statler was a professional stage actor and stuntman.
