Dooley, Herr, Peltzer & Richardson, LLP has a proven track record in representing public agencies, as well as representing individuals on administrative law matters.

Public Agencies - Dooley, Herr & Peltzer currently contracts as the City Attorney for the City of Visalia. In addition, the firm represents nearly 20 public agencies and joint powers authorities as general counsel. In such capacity, we provide a broad range of advice on matters related to the Public Records Act, Brown Act, Fair Political Practices Act, Peace Officers' Bill of Rights, and employment law.

Administrative and Agency Law - Dooley, Herr & Peltzer has represented many public agency and business clients before numerous regulatory agencies. Such agencies include the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Joaquin Unified Air Quality Control District, State Water Resources Control Board, Department of Toxic Substances Control, Air Resources Board, Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and Board of Medical Quality Assurances.

Law Enforcement Litigation - Dooley, Herr & Peltzer has handled, or is presently handling, several defenses of Police Departments in matters related to alleged harassment, use of excessive force and employment matters. We successfully handled the defense of the City of Visalia and the Visalia Police Department in cases involving alleged civil rights violations, wrongful death, officer involved shootings and gender discrimination claims.
